eview by David Howells:

How did schoolchildren and middle class households live in 1600? Two dialogue books , written in about 1600, tell us how. The dialogues were used to teach French and Italian and are very interesting and give us much insight into Elizabethan home life. This book is currently out of print but amazon.com can get it for you for a price. (I have purchased two copies from them).
